Desert Days
(Annual event during the month of February)
Winters can be long and cold, so why not warm up in the hottest spot in southwestern Ontario – Belgian’s Cactus & Succulent House! During the month of February, our 5,400 sq ft greenhouse is filled to bursting with incredible varieties of prickly Cacti and their not-so-prickly cousins (Succulents) with amazing sales and promotions throughout the event! Wander through our display Cactus gardens, soak up that sunshine through the glass roof, and discover a unique winter escape that all ages can enjoy!
Tropical Days
(Annual event during the month of March)
You don’t need a passport or plane tickets to enjoy a tropical “stay-cation”! For the entire month of March, Belgian’s Tropical greenhouses, including our Orchid & Bonsai Greenhouse, explode with gorgeous colour and stunning foliage, with incredible sales and promotions throughout the month! So defrost from the late winter chill, wander through our Tropical jungle, and find old friends and new favourites to add to your (hopefully growing) Houseplant collection!
Anniversary Celebrations
Belgian Nursery has been ‘Celebrating Plants & the People Who Love Them!’ since 1959! It all started with 3 acres of farmland, a house, and a barn, selling field pansies and cut flowers at the old Kitchener Famers’ Market. Now, Belgian has 2.5 acres of greenhouses and has become a year-round “Tropical Paradise” for families and customers of all ages, offering Houseplants, Cacti, Succulents, Annuals, Perennials, Decorative Pots, Garden Décor, and so much more!
Celebrating 65 Years: Since 1959!
2024 marks our 65th Anniversary and we are keeping the festivities going all year long, with incredible sales and TWO fundraising events for a very special charitable organization! Addy’s Story
Addison “Addy” Hill was an extraordinary soul who touched the lives and many and inspired an entire community, with her positive attitude and immense bravery. Addy demonstrated courage, resilience, and a remarkable spirit. Cancer did not define who she was.
Addy’s spirit serves as a guiding light, reminding us to cherish each moment, find strength in adversity, and spread kindness wherever we go. Addy has created a legacy, a story of resilience, reminding others that the power to overcome lies within everyone.
Belgian’s drive is to raise awareness and funds for Sarcoma Cancer Research for her oncologist Dr. David Malkin in support of SickKids Hospital. To read more about Addy’s story check out: www.teamAddy.ca

Belgian’s 65th Anniversary Week: April 23 to 30, 2024
