Cashier / Customer Service / Labourer
Full Time – Year-Round, Weekdays & Weekends
This year-round position also includes assisting where needed in all areas of our operation. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: cashier, customer service, cleaning, and maintaining displays. We are looking for a friendly individual with recent cashier experience and plant knowledge. This position also includes cleaning plants, unpacking and pricing plants and products, cleaning and maintaining displays, basic computer tasks, and providing customers with accurate information for continued gardening success.
Job Includes the following:
- Cashier and Customer Service; giving plant care advice, answering telephone inquiries.
- Unpacking and pricing product, set up, cleaning and maintaining displays.
- Cleaning and grooming tropical plants.
- Tasks and responsibilities are diverse and will change from season to season.
- Assisting where needed in all areas of the greenhouse.
- Hours of work will vary with the seasons; flexibility is required.
Job Qualifications – Required:
- Recent Retail Cashier experience
- Customer service experience
- Plant knowledge
- Reliable, hard working & physically fit
- Able to multitask, self-motivated and adaptable
- Able to work independently & on a team
- Reliable transportation & driver’s license
Job Qualifications – Beneficial:
- Experience giving instruction to seasonal staff
- Basic computer skills are beneficial
- Enthusiasm for learning and retaining new knowledge
